UNI Login
IT-Kartellet is behind a Moodle plugin that allows students and teachers to log into Moodle using their UNI•Login.
UNI•Login is a digital ID for children, young people, and staff at institutions, providing access to national services and a wide range of educational services and online learning resources. UNI•Login can be used for both free web services and for web services that institutions can subscribe to.
With UNI•Login, users are spared from having to remember multiple different passwords and can instead log in with the same details they use for elevintra, ordbogen.com, and many other services. Instead of entering their username and password in Moodle, the user is directed to UNI•C to log in, after which they are sent back to Moodle. If the user does not already exist, they are created in Moodle with the name and email address provided by UNI•C (usually the user's school email address).
The plugin is released for free and can be downloaded at:
https://moodle.org/plugins/view/auth_unilogin.
However, at IT-Kartellet, we also offer to install the plugin for you, either separately or as part of setting up a Moodle installation. It is also possible to extend the plugin so that users are assigned the correct role (e.g., teacher, student, administrative staff, etc.) and are enrolled in the correct courses when they log in.
